This Summer Fruit Salad with Cinnamon-Honey Syrup, with fresh watermelon and berries, is the perfect treat for the hot summer days.

I love all the fruit and vegetables that are so readily available during the summer months. On every shopping trip, the kids pick out whatever seasonal fruits thatthey want. Sometimes it becomes a snack, other times it’s part of our meals, like thisSummer Fruit Salad with Cinnamon-Honey Syrup recipe.

Our family can eat A LOT of watermelon each summer. I would say that we buy at least 2-3 watermelons per month. Many times we enjoy it as-is,on the rindandcut in wedges. But having it as the star of a fruit salad is always welcome in our house too.

In this Summer Fruit Salad, the watermelon is cut off the rind and then cut into bite-size pieces. The juicy watermelon is combined with beautiful blueberries and raspberries. You could also add in some blackberries, if you like.

A sweet cinnamon-honey syrup is drizzledover the fruit. Lemon zest is also added and everything is gently tossed together to make a delicious saladthat is perfect for hot summer days. If you wish, you can garnish with mint leavesbefore serving. That’s all there is to it! A fresh and fruity side dish the is perfect for summer.
