Mechanically and cosmetically good. It has been a driver so has some minor paint chips, no AC and it loves to be driven. No room for the baby seats and I want it to go to someone who will drive it. Gets off the line like a Top Fuel Dragster, corners like a NASCAR, handles like an Indy Car, sounds meaner than a Viper, and as reliable as a Miata.

I am going to regret selling this as soon as it is gone. Unfortunately the values on the superb cars has fallen through the floor. Buyers market, and I need to get this sold. You know what every ad says, my loss is your gain!

No 3rd party or dealers please. Car is currently licensed and registered in Florida, I just relocated to CA.

Nice price or crack pipe?

Nice price or crack pipe?

Easy way to find out - contact the seller.

I'm not in the market, but some here might be and thought it was an interesting CL conversation piece.

If I were in the market for a V8 miata, I'd probably want to build it myself even if it did wind up being more expensive in the end.

I'm sure he means bored .030" which would make that engine a 306. What else does he not really know about the car?

The price is realistic for someone who wants to buy a turnkey conversion. Of course, that assumes everything was done properly. The issue becomes one of "where do I take it when something inevitably breaks?". Both a Ford and Mazda dealer would laugh and so hopefully you could find a speed shop that would see it as a challenge and not as a way for the owner to buy that new bass boat he' had his eye on ;)

Can it be registered in CA?

Only if the Windsor engine came out of a car (not an SUV or truck) and the car it came out of is as new or newer than the miata it sits in.

Oh, and all the engine mods (cam, intake, heads, headers) listed have to have a CARB EO number.

So, probably not.

From experience, I've always taken mine (6 and climbing) V8 Miatas to a Ford dealer. Nobody laughs at them when it's there. In fact they usually garner a lot of interest from the sales force all the way to the parts guys.
