  1. Post update

The TV coverage has cut away from Mumbai so we're going to leave it there for today because I can't see the presentation!

I'll leave you with Ffion Wynne's report as Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals to win the inaugural Women's Premier League.

The men's Indian Premier League begins on Friday with a host of England players involved. Stay tuned to the cricket section of the BBC Sport website and app to keep across all the latest from that tournament.

    See you soon.

  3. Post update

Mumbai Indians have won five trophies in the men's version of the Indian Premier League.

They are the most successful side in that and it would be no surprise if their women's team grew and developed from this year.

  4. 'I hope this inspires others'

Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani: "This is really overwhelming. To win the trophy in the first edition is something fantastic. I'm very happy that we've added one more trophy to the Mumbai Indians so way to go girls!

"I hope this inspires a lot of young athletes, especially girls, to take up sports and do well.

"I always tell my players to play from the heart, enjoy every moment and results will follow. I need to thank all the fans - there was a lot of amazing support today. It was fabulous.

"I hope we can have a great celebration tonight."

  5. 'One of my greatest moments in cricket'

Mumbai Indians head coach Charlotte Edwards: "We're over the moon. To work with Goswami and share the experience with her and win the title is up there as one of my greatest moments in cricket. They've been an unbelievable group. They've stuck together and gelled brilliantly and there are some strong friendships now built, which is amazing to be around.

"They had yesterday off because they were tired and it was important they rested. We had a meeting and we've kept it very relaxed today. They've had some enjoyable times. They play for each other and Harmanpreet Kaur has been outstanding as a captain, I am so pleased for her. It has been a wonderful experience."

Mumbai Indians bowling coach Jhulan Goswami: "All the credit goes to the bowlers and to Lottie [Charlotte Edwards] for the way she handled the team. This is my first experience as a coach and the entire team and girls believed and they did everything. All of the players have done extremely well and we're so proud of them.

  6. 'Great to win it for Edwards'

Mumbai Indians all-rounder Amelia Kerr: "It helps when you're going out there and Nat Sciver-Brunt is out there! I guess those are the moments that we train and work so hard for. It is great to get the win for an amazing franchise and an amazing group of people.

"You just get in a zone and you're so focussed on what you're trying to do but in between the balls you hear the crowd. It is so amazing to play in front of this many people.

"Charlotte [Edwards] is an absolute legend. She is one of the best coaches I've ever worked with. She has a wealth of knowledge and just sitting back and talking cricket with her you learn so much. She has taken teams to finals and it hasn't come off so doing that for her today, she puts a lot of work in, and she's pretty emotional and it's so great to see a very good person and coach get that win.

  7. 'Means a lot to create history'

Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hayley Matthews: "It is crazy. This tournament is the first of many and it is such a big thing to be a part of history. We've been through a lot of ups and downs in the tournament so I'm just glad we've got there in the end.

"To be part of the Mumbai family has been crazy. To be able to create history and bring it home in the first year means a lot."

  8. Post update

Nat Sciver-Brunt finishes 60 not out from 55 balls to guide Mumbai Indians over the line.

She really struggled for fluency for large parts of that innings but she was there at the end and she's won her side the title.

The all-rounder scored a stunning 148 not out for England in a losing cause in the 2022 World Cup final against Australia.

    This will feel good.

The England all-rounder ramps Alice Capsey away to the boundary and Mumbai Indians are the Women's Premier League champions!

  18. MI 111-3

    Need 21 from 12 balls

Just a single from the next two balls.
